Jinja Youth MP polls marred by violence as voters demand money from candidates

The election of the representative for the Youth Electoral College in Jinja district turned rowdy after some voters disrupted the polling by demanding money from one of the candidates who reportedly promised to pay them in return for their vote. The election was being contested by three candidates; Ntuyo Mohammed of the ruling NRM party, Brian Nsimbi and Grace Muganza who both stood as independent candidates.
