Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush once did the Bush push to help USC beat Notre Dame. Saturday Tyler Vitt and Jahmyl Jeter did the same thing on a 4th down that led to a big field goal at Texas State stayed alive for a bowl game as they beat ULM 27-19. Vitt threw for 262 in his 1st start of the year and a touchdown plus a "push". Jeter ran for 92 yards and a score as Texas State won its 1st regulation game of the season. Jeter's touchdown came late in the contest when ULM let him score in the hopes of getting the ball back. Vitt is a San Antonio MacArthur alum and Jeter of San Antonio Brennan. Louisiana-Monroe did get it back but was unable to score. Chandler Rogers threw for 262 for ULM who dropped to 4-5 on the season. The teams combined for over 600 yards of offense in the 1st half but managed barely 200 combined in the 2nd half. ULM outgained Texas State 439-434 but had 34 more plays than the Bobcats.
