In this #49ersfans post game gathering we tried to remain calm. It’s a preseason game right? Wrong, nobody held back. Jimmie Ward was battered by just about everybody who called in. C.J. Beathard came in 2nd place in the beatdown order. Cuts were made in this meeting starting with Jimmie Ward of course. However what I was afraid to tell anyone is that Jimmie Ward’s 8.5 mill is fully guaranteed. The #49ers have to make him work out. Nick Mullens popularity is picking up momentum. Nick came within a couple of bad flag drawing plays on defense of being a hero for the second week in a row. Eli Harold’s name is still on top 10 most wanted to see leave list. There is plenty of blame being designated during this meeting. The good news is that Jimmy Garoppolo could be the star of a new TV show called “Everybody loves Jimmy” His near perfect performance has everybody encouraged. Even though Dante Pettis had the one mistake it’s clear to everyone he is going to be a star. Marquise Goodwin continues to get rave reviews as he continues to campaign for the top offensive player not named Jimmy G. Trent Taylor gets lots of love for his contribution for the red zone reception TD. There were plenty of voices of reason however and the disappointment was tempered to a reasonable level. It wasn’t that the #49ers lost a preseason game. It was how they lost that brought the anger. Lets go on to week 3 and the dress rehearsal for the season. Should be good. Jimmy G, Goodwin, Taylor, and Pierre Garcon made a tough appearance and looked good are rounding into shape.
