After blowing an 18 point lead and falling behind by 4 points in the 4th quarter, NY came back to tie the game and got two key defensive stops on the Hornets' last possession, to send the game to OT. In the extra period, the Knicks took charge and gained a comfortable lead, which they held onto for their 40th win in this season's condensed 72-game schedule. The Knicks were led by Julius Randle's 6th triple-double of the season (33 PTS | 10 REB | 13 AST), as Reggie Bullock (17 PTS), Derrick Rose (15 PTS), Alec Burks (14 PTS | 9 REB | 5 AST), Immanuel Quickley (13 PTS), and Nerlens Noel (5 BLK), all made major contributions. The Knicks still have the Eastern Conference's 4th seed in their sights, as they await the outcome of the Miami Heat game at Milwaukee against the Bucks, in hopes of securing home court advantage in the 1st round of the NBA playoffs.
