The Lakers will get a meeting with him, but will they actually be able to land the superstar? Speaking of that meeting, it’s a little complicated as to if Magic Johnson will meet with Leonard. Kawhi wants to, but the NBA won’t allow it in the official meeting, so it might just be Jeanie Buss sitting down with Leonard and his camp. LeBron James and Anthony Davis could also sit down with Leonard at a later point. If the Lakers miss on Kawhi, D’Angelo Russell could be a great target for the Lakers. They need point guard help and Russell is a totally different player than he once was in Los Angeles. Plus, he’d be cheaper.
