After a long wait, the “new normal” seems oddly like the old one, as Forest couldn’t hold on against Sheffield Wednesday. Despite a decent performance, and a good goal by Joe Lolley, some familiar problems re-emerged as Forest struggled to hold onto the ball, and couldn’t defend a stoppage-time corner. Key issues include the old chestnut of team selection, and the effects of fatigue and cramp; despite the extra substitutions available to both managers, some players were clearly struggling, including Tobias Figueiredo and Brice Samba.
