Stuteville, a senior from Orangeville, Calif., led the Hornets to wins over league-leading Weber State and Idaho State last week. The senior averaged 20.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, 7.0 offensive rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots per game while shooting .708 (17-of-24) from the field. In Thursday’s 77-74 win over the Wildcats, Stuteville posted game-highs in points (22), rebounds (10) and blocks (3). He went 9-for-13 from the field and 4-for-6 from the free-throw line to hand WSU its second conference loss of the season. Of his 10 rebounds, six came on the offensive side of the glass. In Saturday’s 75-63 win over ISU, the Sac State center scored 18 points and pulled down a whopping 16 rebounds with a pair of blocks to lead the Hornets to their second straight win. Half of his 16 boards were of the offensive variety which led to an 18-4 advantage in second-chance scoring for Sac State. In Big Sky play, Stuteville is averaging 13.6 points and 7.2 rebounds.
