MARCA's refereeing expert Alfonso Perez Burrull didn't understand the decision either and questioned why the UEFA broadcast didn't show an offside line to make it clear that Mbappe was ahead of the last defender when the pass was initially played. "What's incredible is that they didn't trace a line when he seems to be in a clearly offside position," the former referee said on Radio MARCA during the match.
