TCU Basketball SCREWED Against Kansas, BYU Crumbles, Texas Tech Shocks Texas: Big 12 Weekend Recap

Kansas managed to secure a victory against TCU, preventing a second consecutive home loss, courtesy of a critical flagrant foul in the final minute. In the 83-81 win, the No. 2 Jayhawks saw Hunter Dickinson making the decisive basket in the lane with just 3.4 seconds remaining. Dickinson played a pivotal role, contributing four of Kansas' last six points in the closing minute, starting with a trip to the foul line after a replay review at the 57-second mark. With TCU leading 79-77, a pivotal moment occurred when former Kansas player Ernest Udeh intercepted a pass into the lane from Kevin McCullar. As Udeh seized the ball in front of Dickinson, his right arm unintentionally swung backward, making contact with Dickinson's face. Despite the apparent accidental nature of the contact, officials, after a replay review, deemed it a flagrant foul on Udeh for hitting Dickinson in the face. This unexpected call not only gave Dickinson two free throws but also granted possession to Kansas, altering the course of the game. Dickinson capitalized on the opportunity, sinking both free throws, and Dajuan Harris added a jumper 14 seconds later, securing Kansas's first lead in nearly four minutes. Although TCU managed to tie the game with 29 seconds left through a putback by Micah Peavy, Dickinson positioned himself under the basket for the game-winning score with 3.4 seconds remaining.
