Western Conference Finals, Game 5: Paul George's Third Quarter Saves Clippers

With their season on the line as they went on the road for a Game 5 against the Phoenix Suns, the Los Angeles Clippers needed a big performance out of their lone remaining star. That star delivered as Paul George finished with a playoff career-high 41 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and three steals in 41 minutes of action. George made 15 of his 20 field goal attempts, but it was his work in the third quarter alone that really salvaged and saved the season for the Clippers. George dropped 20 of his 41 in the third quarter as he took turns abusing whichever defender was thrown his way. It honestly didn’t matter who it was. They all got the work. This video breakdown will focus on the baskets that Paul George made in the third quarter en route to his 20-point barrage in that frame. He did it in a variety of ways—driving, threes, mid-range, etc. It was the best quarter he’s had in the series and it deserved to be showcased. Sit back and enjoy!
