A League Two goalkeeper jokingly asked for donations for new teeth on Tuesday night after having some of his knocked out by a boot to the face. Forest Green's James Montgomery was rushed to hospital after being kicked by Mansfield's Gethin Jones as he dove low to his left to stop the defender scoring. But after receiving treatment for the gruesome facial injury which left him with blood pouring from his mouth and right eye, the shot-stopper was able to see the funny side of the incident. After warning his 'squeamish' Instagram followers to look away, Montgomery posted an image of himself still wearing his blood-soaked goalkeeper top with the captions: 'what a game football is' and '999 please'. The Sunderland-born keeper also took to Twitter to ask his followers if they would help pay for his new teeth - and joke that Jones had come off worse from the collision at the New Lawn. Montgomery tweeted: 'On way to hospital, setting up a just giving page if anyone wants to help me pay for my new teeth.. good point and well done to the lads on coming back from behind! You should see the other lad!!'  Forest Green provided an update on Montgomery's condition, confirming that he had gone to hospital for treatment on a split lip and his teeth.   The former Middlesbrough youth player, who was once a member of Jamie Vardy's V9 academy, is related to Sunderland legend Jim Montgomery, who was in goal when the Black Cats won the FA Cup in 1973.
