This past week saw tons of news items drop. And we continue to see games played within the league during the pre-season. The Houston Sabercats defeated the NOLA Gold 30-12 at Constellation Field in front of a crowd of almost 3,000. It was full of big hits. The field had capped players from both north and south of the US Border in Hubert Buydens and Eric Howard of Canada suiting up for the Gold. Kyle Sumsion and Pago Haini suiting up for Houston, and JP Eloff for the Gold. The USA Eagles were in Brazil, defeating the Tupis 16-45. It was a rough start and showed some holes in what would be called depth players in our program. With Malon Al Jiboori being recalled to Eagles 7s for Las Vegas HSBC Sevens Series Stop it has left the team pretty thin in the back row.
