Now one incident which got many fans reacting is got to be Manchester United's third choice goalkeeper Lee Grant taking the role of the 4th official by holding the substitution board in the second half and doing the job by himself. This role could be assumed by the coaching staff on the bench but with the absence of several coaching staff. Mike Phelan, Mckena and Michael Carrick, 38 year old Lee Grant was promoted to take the coaching role for the evening. So this is why he took charge of the substitution for Shola Shortire who had his senior debut after his first professional contract, Juan Mata and also Mason Greenwood. Lee Grant joined United in 2018 under Mourihno on 1.5m pounds and has since made just 2 appearances for the red devils. One coming from the League cup, that's his debut and the other from the Europa last season.
