The Island Storm announce the signing of 6-foot-2, 190-pound, point guard Gary Gibson, who is a former NBL Canada champion with the Windsor Express. Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Gibson spent last season as a starter on the Express where he averaged 7.1 points, 4 assists, and shot nearly 80 per cent from the free throw line. Gibson had similar numbers in college playing for Eastern Washington in the Big Sky Conference. In the 2007-2008 campaign he started for the school in 30 games.
