John Delaney rose to prominence in Ireland during the Saipan Incident, when Roy Keane was sent home from the Republic of Ireland's 2002 FIFA World Cup squad following a bust-up with manager Mick McCarthy. Over the next 20 years, Delaney went on a journey of being heralded as the great moderniser and saviour of Irish football, to being perceived as the architect of its demise. So in this documentary, HITC Sevens takes a look at the rise and fall of John Delaney as CEO of the Football Association of Ireland, AKA the FAI, the legacy he has left on Irish football, and some of the crazy stories that have been reported about his time in the job.
