Nebraska Football was in the spotlight this weekend and fell as a touchdown favorite to Illinois and Bret Bielema. On Late Kick Live Ep 171 Josh Pate gave credit to the Illini but spent several minutes reflecting on where Nebraska is under Scott Frost and what can be done to turn things around. With a growing national sentiment that Nebraska can't win anymore Josh drills down on exactly what people mean when they say that. Can Nebraska return to the level they operated at in the 1990s? Highly unlikely. But, can Nebraska operate at the same level programs like Iowa State, Iowa, and Wisconsin are currently operating at? This seems to be a much more manageable task if the Huskers can clean things up on their end. Unfortunately this could mean saying goodbye to one of their own, and therein lies the major issue.
