Rovers took the lead midway through the 1st half thanks to a Harvey Elliott banger despite being second best in the match. Millwall leveled not long after with Malone scoring a banger for Millwall as the first half ended all square. Rovers received some bad news as Ben Brereton was substituted midway through the 2nd half, but despite a below par performance they managed to bag a winner as Adam Armstrong scored a scrappy effort.
