With a 3rd vs 4th clash it was always going to be a tight game. With Wellington Phoenix and Brisbane Roar still hoping to clinch 2nd place a win would defiantly help the chance of that happening. There were multiple chances in the first half and a number of brilliant saves from Jamie Young. Both teams went into the break with the scores locked at 0-0. With everything to play for in the second half, both teams start to come out of their shell and push for the decisive goal. Brisbane Roar’s goal scoring genius at the moment Scotty McDonald was the man to put the ball into the back of the net in the 61st minute with some sheer genius. However the wellington side broke the drought with a goal coming late from Gary Hooper in the 82nd minute. It was enough to see the sides share the points. I chat about the game and what I thought, how this affects the roar’s ACL hopes and also the finals itself.
