Ahoy footy fans! NRL Round 6 on Friday Night Footy continues with a battle from opposite ends of the ladder with the red hot Penrith Panthers taking on the hot and cold Brisbane Broncos. So grab a nice cold beverage and join the Wasted World of Sports for a Live NRL Watch Party and Alternative NRL Commentary with your host, Dan Intox. The second of Good Friday’s double header sees two teams at opposite ends of the ladder meet, with the undefeated Penrith Panthers hosting the Brisbane Broncos at BlueBet Stadium. The Broncos are coming off three straight losses, however, will be encouraged by their much-improved performance against the Roosters last week, narrowly going down 24-20 after recording a first-half shutout. The Panthers had to wait until the final match of the round for their opportunity to regain top spot on the ladder and again proved a class above, running out comfortable 32-12 winners over the Bulldogs. For the third straight week, Penrith will head in 1-17. The Broncos’ disappointing 2022 hasn’t stayed on the field, with Payne Haas copping a suspension for his part in a drunken brawl over the offseason. His place will be taken by Corey Jensen with Rhys Kennedy joining the interchange.
