V-Varen Nagasaki failed to qualify for promotion to the J1 League this year after Avispa Fukuoka beat them to it. However, they were not going to let this dampen their mood as they recorded a brilliant 3-1 victory over Zweigen Kanazawa in the final game of the J3 Season. Nagasaki opened the scoring with a fantastic finish from Brazilian Forward Luan in the 39th minute. However, the Nagasaki defence was left stunned when Kanazawa equalised in the 67th minute following a controversial finish from Midfielder Ryuhei Oishi. However, Nagasaki came to life late on to put the game to bed, with a 91st minute penalty kick from Ryota Isomura and a 95th minute counter attack goal from Keiji Tamada to finish the game 3-1.
