Mercedes' worst weekend yet in an awful start to the 2022 Formula 1 season has led the team and star driver Lewis Hamilton to a bleak verdict on its fading championship hopes. With Hamilton now 58 points adrift of Charles Leclerc and Mercedes 47 points behind Ferrari, the chances of driver and team securing yet another title together this year look increasingly slim.
