In the war-torn nation of Somalia, sports are not something that will garner much attention as the country battles for the most basic amenities. The country saw its first boxing federation in 1959 but it’s existence came to an end in 1976. But, 42 years later, the Federation has been revived by two people, Mogadishu born boxer Ramla Ali and her coach turn husband Richard Moore. Ramla will be the first female boxer to represent Somalia in the 10th edition of the Women’s World Boxing Championship.
