Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first goal of the match for the Portuguese in the 15th minute. But two own goals from Ruben Dias and Raphaël Guerreiro gave the Germans a well-deserved lead. Kai Havertz and Robin Gosens increased the lead to three goals by scoring in the 51st and 60th minute respectively. Diogo Jota did manage to reduce Germany's lead with a goal in the 67th minute for Portugal but that was it for them as the match ended 2-4 to Germany. Hungary pulled off the upset of the tournament as they held France to a 1-1 draw at the Puskás Aréna. Attila Fiola drew first blood for the Hungarians late in the first half. He knocked Roland Sallai's ball in the back of the net to send the entire stadium in pandemonium. France did manage to find an equaliser thanks to an excellent team goal. Antoine Griezmann was the goalscorer for the French in the 66th minute. No further goals were possible as the match ended 1-1. Spain is in deep trouble as they were held to a second-consecutive draw, this time by Poland in a 1-1 encounter at the Estadio Olímpico de Sevilla. Álvaro Morata scored the first goal for the Spaniards in the 25th minute. Poland skipper Robert Lewandowski managed to find an equaliser for his team with a well-placed header in the 54th minute. In the 58th minute, Spain had received a golden opportunity to score the winner as they were awarded a penalty. But Gerard Moreno managed to miss from the spot and the game ultimately ended as a 1-1 draw.
