Connor Brown extended his goal streak to eight games, and the Ottawa Senators defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 at Canadian Tire Centre on Monday. Brown's goal streak is the longest in Ottawa history and tied for the 11th longest in the NHL since the 1990-91 season. Kyle Connor and Nikolaj Ehlers scored, and Connor Hellebuyck made 20 saves for the Jets (25-14-3), who had won three straight. Connor gave Winnipeg a 1-0 lead at 5:00 of the first period with a one-timer off a pass from Josh Morrissey on the power play. Ehlers then scored with a wrist shot under Forsberg's glove on a rush to make it 2-0 at 8:25.
