Betis vs Ath Bilbao 23/9/2018 Lineup Preview & Prediction | SPAIN LaLiga - Round 5 2018/2019

#Betis #AthBilbao ------------------------------- Betis return to La Liga (LL) action after making their Europa League debut with a 0-0 draw at Olympiacos. Still undefeated in LL, Athletic Bilbao visit the Benito Villamarín stadium for their first away game of the season hoping to take advantage of possible fatigue in the Betis team. After an opening day defeat, Betis have made the most of the only goal that they have scored in the last three games, gaining five points with two draws (both 0-0) and a home win in the Andalucian derby (1-0). In practice this means that their last three LL games have each seen under 1.5 goals. Last Saturday’s draw against Real Madrid (1-1) should be a morale-booster for Athletic and means that they are still undefeated this season (W1, D2). The last time they went four undefeated was way back in 1993/94. With all three of their games played at home this season, Athletic now travel away where they have been poor with just a solitary win in ten LL games (W1, D3, L6). Nonetheless, Athletic Bilbao have only lost one of their last nine games against Betis in LL. Additionally, Betis haven’t been able to score more than one goal in the last eleven competitive games against the ‘Leones’ (seven goals in 11 games). Players to watch: Tony Sanabria, with 17 league appearances, eight goals last season, is Betis’ best hope of improving their goal scoring rate. Raúl Garcia was top scorer for the ‘Leones’ (ATH) last season in LL. However, he is yet to score this season. Stat attack: Betis have only lost one game of their last eight home league games. Athletic have scored three out of the five goals in the first half so far in LL. Pau López has gone 270 minutes without conceding a LL goal for Betis.
