The Pittsburgh Penguins put up 6 goals in the first period to take a demanding lead in the game early. The second period and the better half of the third period did not go as planned as the San Jose Sharks closed the lead to 1 goal making it 6-5. The penguins secured a power play goal late in the game giving Evan Rodriguez his hat trick and seconds later Bryan Rust added the empty netter to give him a hat trick as well. Let’s go pens.
