The NBL Finals is down to a best of three. The Windsor Express took home court advantage back with a 109-105 victory over the Halifax Rainmen in Game 4 on Friday night. With the series knotted up at 2-2, the Express win guarentees a Game 6 back at the WFCU Centre on Tuesday, April 28th. Windsor held an 85-75 lead heading into the fourth quarter, but Halifax fought back, tying the game at 93-93 after a Kevin Young layup. With the score 95-95, Jamarcus Ellis nailed two clutch free throws in relief of Quinnel Brown, who was hurt on the play, pushing the Express ahead by two with 2:44 left. Brown returned to the game a few seconds later. Ellis would later drop two more free throws, putting Windsor ahead by three with 17 seconds left. After a poor free throw shooting performance in Game 3, the Express redeemed themselves, nailing 10 of their last 13 shots from the line down the stretch and shooting 70.2% as a team in the contest. The star of the show tonight for Windsor was Kirk Williams Jr., who led all scorers with 36 - a high for an Express player in this year's postseason. He also had 9 rebounds.
