We had to settle for a point in the north London derby after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed a late penalty. Aubameyang, on as a substitute, saw Hugo Lloris push away his spot-kick and was then denied from a yard out after Alex Iwobi was first to the rebound. Aaron Ramsey gave us the lead in his final north London derby with the coolest of finishes. The Wales midfielder - scorer of two FA Cup final winners on this ground - ran through from inside his own half and feinted to shoot before nipping around Lloris and slotting the ball into the net. Alex Lacazette had our best chances either side of that, and Iwobi tested Lloris with a curler, but Tottenham came on strong at the end of the first half. Bernd Leno Bernd Leno Harry Kane had a header ruled out for offside and Bernd Leno made a terrific double stop to deny Christian Eriksen and Moussa Sissoko. We expected a Spurs onslaught after the break but it never materialised as we kept our shape and kept them at arm’s length. That just made the home side’s equaliser all the more galling. Kane was again in an offside position when a free-kick was floated into the box, but he was awarded a penalty after a nudge from Shkodran Mustafi. Kane got up to beat Leno from the spot, and unfortunately Aubameyang couldn’t follow suit.
