Houston Rockets All-Star guard, James Harden, made it clear to management on his trade request after declining a two-year, $103 million extension. While Harden was in the west coast discussion his aspirations to playing with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Ivring, the Rockets made a pitch to lock him long term with a two-year extension, adding to the remaining three years and $133 million in his current deal. As a result, Harden's determination in leaving Houston has resulted in no progress of any trades. Houston and Brooklyn have contacted each other with no meaningful dialogue, according to sources. The Rockets are willing to stall out any trade talks to try convincing Harden in staying long term or wait for an attractive trade offer. However, he can opt out of his contract in 2022 and become a free agent. Harden believes that his championship window has ended in Houston and wants to form a super-team in Brooklyn to achieve his championship goal. Let me know what you guys think?
