Live: KKR Vs SRH, Match 61, Pune | CRICTALKS | IPL LIVE 2022 | Kolkata Knight Riders Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad For queries: anatomizedtube@gmail.com PREVIEW: When Kolkata Knight Riders met SunRisers Hyderabad about a month ago, it was in the middle of a spell of five successive defeats. Shreyas Iyer felt "drained" after the game and put the loss down to a "bad day with the ball". Little did he know that many bad days were still to come, the likes of which unraveled his team's strong start to the season This time around though, it's SRH who are in somewhat similar circumstances. Should KKR hand them a fifth consecutive defeat on Saturday (May 14), it will be a nice little payback. But there's also a lot riding on the result of this match. Both teams seem to have a very slim chance of qualifying for the Playoffs, given their low tally of 10 points and their negative Net Run Rates. Delhi Capitals, with an NRR of +0.210 on the other hand, appear much better placed. But for both KKR and SRH, a victory isn't going to hurt whatever's left of their campaign. KKR, especially, would see it as a good opportunity to build on their big win over Mumbai Indians in the last match, although they will have their work cut out without Pat Cummins who's flown back home with a minor hip issue. There's also the case of Brendon McCullum taking up the England coaching offer in the middle of KKR's campaign, meaning there's already a sense of flux in the camp and how the team responds to the news will be fascinating to watch. As will be to witness if SRH are able to turn their season around. A tricky call at the toss; nine of the 12 games in Pune have been won by teams batting first but teams are still reluctant to defend ttals. The venue is also a happy hunting ground for KKR who have won seven of their eight games here. SRH, in contrast, have only won once in their five matches here. Kolkata Knight Riders: Shreyas Iyer's side has been guilty of getting the team combinations wrong far too often this season, and it was only in the last game that they perhaps played their best eleven. Rahul Tripathi, in his innings of 71 off 37, had answers for everything his previous team threw at him. So, expect KKR to come up with a fresh set of plans this time. It could include bowling more of Andre Russell at him, whom he faced for only three deliveries in the earlier encounter before losing his wicket on the fourth. Russell will also come in handy against Nicholas Pooran, another middle-order batter whom he's gotten out four times previously. SunRisers Hyderabad: The injury-absence of Washinton Sundar and T Natarajan have, without a doubt, had an effect on the team's fortunes, as has Kane Williamson's form or lack thereof. But both the bowlers are expected to be fit for the KKR game, which will be a massive boost to the side. KKR spinners have the best economy out of all teams this season and it's possible that the likes of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy take on SRH early in the game. As it is, SRH have hit the least number of boundaries in the PowerPlay and will need to get quicker off the blocks. In that sense, a lot will rest on their openers Abhishek Sharma and Williamson.
