At just 138.4km in length, stage 19 is the shortest road stage of the race - bar the final day’s procession into Madrid. This short distance, combined with two ascents of Puerto del Piélago (8.8km at 5.8%), should make for an explosive day in the saddle and one where the race leader could potentially be ambushed by his rivals.
