Back-to-back goalless are not the ideal thing but, that is what United have managed in these 2 home games. They needed a last-minute Jack Stevens penalty save to preserve that point as this ended Oxford United 0-0 Charlton Athletic. Save score as the Peterborough game, but not as entertaining the first half was a drab affair, but things improved in the 2nd half. The biggest problem is that Oxford are lacking a killer instinct and it is the lack of quality in the final third which is holding the U's back at the moment. Charlton spurned the golden chance though with the last-minute penalty, but that would have been harsh on Oxford who showed more attacking intent than their London rivals. Anthony Forde came the closest to a goal with a stinging drive which hit the bar, but you can't fault the effort of the Oxford players, but you can be critical of the quality. Don't give up on this Oxford side though, we are hard to beat and when the goals come back, we will move right back in the promotion mix.
