A race against time for Mercedes in 2022 to save their season. The next 3 races will determine whether 2022 could be another record breaking year or a painful “exercise in humility” as Toto Wolff put it. Yes, this time Mercedes weren’t sandbagging and in 2022 they find themselves in unfamiliar territory. For the first time since 2013 they face the real possibility of not being in the title fight with RedBull and Ferrari having nailed the new regulations and after the first two races in this new era for F1, have emerged as runaway leaders. Not what he or the team is used to at all and if that carries on they will fast slip out of the title race. That’s why we’re calling this video a race against time, for Mercedes. So, what do we cover exactly in this video? Well, we’ll quickly recap on what the issues actually are with the W13, their plan for the next 3 races and what happens if they fix it or if indeed, they don’t? As well as my opinion on whether they can turn it around or not and the implications of their plan. The F1 season moves along very quickly so Mercedes need to get their act together asap if they want to compete this year because RedBull and Ferrari will be quickly out of sight if they’re not careful.
