He made his preseason debut against the Washington Football Team. Spoiler alert: I was REALLY impressed. Mac Jones looked like a veteran the moment he stepped on the field. In this video, I wanted to talk about his performance. We’ll go over a few key plays and some general takeaways I had while going through his film. From my film study, the game plan for the Patriots while Mac Jones was on the field was pretty simple. They gave me some quick game from under center. They gave him a couple of one-on-one deep shots down the field. And they also used play-action to draw the linebackers in before Mac Jones threw a pass over the middle of the defense.
