Walleye vs Wings Highlights (3/21/2015)

Tyler Barnes scored twice with an assist to lead the Walleye to a 5-2 win Saturday night at the Huntington Center. Toledo has an overall record of 42-13-4-2 on the season and has a record of 21-5-2-2 at home. The Walleye are home again Sunday against Florida. Tyler Barnes (25th) started the scoring with a backhand just 24 seconds into the first period. Kalamazoo tied the game at one before the end of the first period. Toledo dominated much of the second period out shooting the Wings 12-6. Shane Berschbach (14th) went five hole on Kalamazoo goaltender Oscar Dansk just 39 seconds into the second. Cody Lampl (8th) went top shelf to give the Walleye a 3-1 lead at 10:57 of the second period. AJ Jenks picked up his 7th goal of the season at 6:32 of the third period and Tyler Barnes picked up his second of the night at 8:32 of the third period. Walleye Notes: Goaltender Neil Conway stopped 22 of the 24 shots he faced and has a record of 11-4-3-1 on the season. Toledo has a record of 34-4-2-0 when they score first and a perfect 35-0-0-0 when they reach at least four games in a game. Troy Schwab finished the game with three assists. The win moves the Walleye just one win shy of the 2009-10 Walleye team that had 22 wins at home (22-13-1).
