Afghanistan fought hard and scored 266 runs in 48.2 overs before getting all out. Rahmat Shah was the top scorer with 65 runs to his name. However, Sri Lanka had a simple chase as they won the match in just 35.2 overs and sealed a 3 - 0 victory over Afghanistan in the ODI series.
