Supporters defied a ban on public gatherings to mark the event chanting slogans and taking pictures with the national flag. Euro 2020 retains its original name despite being scheduled to take place next year. The tournament is due to be held from June 11 to July 11, 2021 after it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
