Nyanza region will this weekend crown new Chapa Dimba na Safaricom champions at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu. In the boys’ semifinals, Nyamira Springs will play Victory Strikers from Kisii while Kuria’s Nyamaharaga face Manyatta boys. In the girls’ category, Manyatta Girls will face Kisii United while Migori Education Centre take on NCEOD Queens from Homabay. The regional winners will receive a cash reward of 200,000 shillings each and a chance to represent the region in the tournament's national finals in June. The tournament aims to scout for gifted players from the grassroots with an all star girls team and all star boys team being selected to attend a training camp in Spain during which they will play against Spanish youth sides.
