Stage 5 features just as much climbing as the previous stage, but this is a day for the GC riders and the last opportunity for the pure climbers to really punish their rivals. Like stage 2, it's all about the final climb - Lo Port - 8.5km long at a brutal 8.7%. It’s half the length of Vallter 2000, but it’s steeper and better suited to the explosive climbers.
