Curran produced the score from 14 balls as the Sixers finished on 161 for eight from their 20 overs in the Big Bash League match in Hobart. Joe Denly mustered just 10 at the top of the order for the Sixers, while Jofra Archer took one for 36 from his four overs for the hosts. England all-rounder Curran then removed opener Matthew Wade for 15 and also took a catch, but the Hurricanes still reached their total of 162 with a ball to spare.
