Montreal draft pick Jan Mysak opened the scoring for Czech Republic, but Sweden responded with the equalizer just 32 seconds later and took over the game from there to kick off their 2021 World Juniors tournament with a victory. Victor Söderström and the Oilers' Philip Broberg each racked up three assists in the win.
