Northern Pride Rugby League squad travelled to the Cairns District Rugby League most northern team stronghold Mossman to play their first trial of 2019 against Cairns Marlins. The game was played in quarters and Pride had a handy lead at half-time of 14-2. Cairns scored twice in the second half and the game went to the whistle, enjoyed by a healthy crowd. Referee for first half was Peter Mackinnon & Kane Schwartz did the second.
