Welcome in 49ers Faithful! The San Francisco 49ers did not have an easy task Sunday as they got a taste of late November playoff action. The Minnesota Vikings walked into town after an impressive performance beating the Green Bay Packers. Kirk Cousins heading into Sunday had only thrown two interceptions on the season compared to 21 touchdown passes. Minnesota started off hot with Cousins finding Adam Thielen twice in the first half. San Francisco would get a touchdown on their second possession when Deebo Samuel took an outside run 20 yards to tie the game at 7-7. Jimmy Garoppolo would throw his only passing touchdown shortly before half to Jauan Jennings to tie the game at 14-14. San Francisco would receive the ball first after halftime and drive 75 yards to set up Samuel's second rushing touchdown. Samuel would unfortunately leave the game later with an apparent groin injury. Cousins, who has been safe with the ball all season tried to get aggressive and cost his team on the next drive. San Francisco Aziz Al-Shaair jumped in front of Thielen to give the 49ers the ball back immediately. Not missing a beat the San Francisco offense capitalized on the short field punching it in with Elijah Mitchell from two yards out. Mitchell would run for 133 yards in the game giving his his fourth 100 rushing yard effort of the season, a San Francisco rookie record. Minnesota would battle back with a touchdown from Alexander Mattison on their next possession. San Francisco would kick a Robbie Gould field goal to give them a 31-20 score. The kickoff following the field goal presented issues though as Kene Nwangwu burned the 49ers' special teams for 99 yard kickoff return touchdown. Minnesota would lose the turnover battle in this game as Dalvin Cook's fumble on the next Vikings possession would set up another Gould field goal to give San Francisco a 34-26 lead. Cook would leave the game on a cart and not return after the fumble. San Francisco had a chance to ice the game with another Gould field goal after a seven minute fourth quarter drive but Gould would miss from 42 yards out. The Vikings could not take advantage however as the 49ers would cause Minnesota to turnover on downs to end the game 34-26. #49ers #SanFrancisco49ers #FTTB Recorded: Sunday, November 28, 2021 Host: Julian "Ju-Ju" Martinez (ig: @jujutalkssports) Jose Corral (ig: @corral808s) Social Media: Instagram: @49reasons2Listen Twitter: @49R2L
