Newcastle were shocking!!! Newport were excellent!! What an awful performance again from Newcastle United. Newport County were more organised, committed and well set up and completely dominated the game in most parts of the field. An awful error from Mark Gillespie led to Newport County taking the lead and after that we never really looked like getting back into the game. Jacob Murphy looking like the only real bright attacking option for us in the first half. The second half was a little better once we brought Joelinton and Wilson on but it took a cracker from Jonjo Shelvey to equalise in the last few minutes. Newcastle United go on to win on penalties. Steve Bruce simply needs to be removed as manager as soon as possible. His tactics are dreadful and his motivational skills are pretty much zero.
