The MS Dhoni-led side prevailed over DC by six wickets in the do-or-die clash on Friday to make it to their eighth final in ten seasons in the IPL. It was a one-sided affair between the two sides in Vizag but the game saw some exciting moments as both sides gave their best on the pitch. After DC managed to reach close to the 150-run mark and posted a challenging total on the board, CSK openers got off to a wobbly start and almost gave away a breakthrough to Shreyas Iyer-led side in the very first over after a terrible mix-up. The incident happened on the 3rd ball of the first over when Faf du Plessis struck one at point off Colin Munro. Both him and Watson were stuck in the middle as Axar Patel quickly collected the ball and threw it to the bowling end while missing the stumps.
