Here's the reaction after the game, from the virtual Mixed Zone: Linus Weber (Germany): "I think that especially in the first set we played on a good level, but Japan played very well in defence and they are very well-known for their defence and their technical skills. Our sideout didn't work well." Yuki Ishikawa (Japan): "We played really well in sideout - we were focused on this element all the time. Also in case of transitions we were able to make many points. And these two aspects were really important to win this game. The Kazan players got into the game faster: they immediately made it difficult for their opponents to receive the ball, and Maxim Mikhailov was good in attack.
