Pakistan vs West Indies 2nd T20 l match at Karachi #pakvswi #BabarAzam #cricket

Pakistan vs West Indies 2nd T20I Highlights: Romareo Shepherd's cameo was not enough as Pakistan were able to win the 2nd T20I by 9 runs to seal the three-match series. Shaheen Shah Afridi's three wickets in the 17th over turned out to be crucial. West Indies lost their way after Brandon King was dismissed for 67. Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Wasim picked two wickets apiece in the middle to give Pakistan the advantage. The visitors lost opener Shai Hope early in the run-chase and then Mohammad Nawaz put an end to Shamarah Brooks' brief stay in the middle. Earlier, Shadab Khan hit two sixes in the last over to help Pakistan post 172 for 8. Odean Smith picked up 2 for 24 in his 3 overs. West Indies had made a strong comeback in the match by picking the wickets of Haider Ali (31) and Mohammad Nawaz in quick succession. Mohammed Rizwan (38) and Haider once again threatened to take the game away but both of them could not convert their starts. An error of judgement by both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan ended the former's innings early after Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. Pakistan pretty much outplayed West Indies in all three departments, beating them comprehensively by 63 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series opener on Monday.

#AsifAli POWER HITTING TAKES PAKISTAN WIN AGAINST AFGHANISTAN IN THE #ICCT20 World Cup #afgvspak

#AsifAli #PakvsAfg #babarazam #t20worldcup Asif Ali smoked four sixes in an over to help Pakistan make it a hat-trick of Super 12 victories as they handed Afghanistan their first defeat of the tournament in Group 2. Asif blitzed 25 in just seven balls to ensure Babar Azam’s 51 did not go to waste as they successfully chased 148 to win by five wickets in front of a raucous crowd at the Dubai International Stadium. Only some back-end fireworks from Afghanistan skipper Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib, who shared an unbeaten stand of 71 off 48 balls, gave their side a competitive total after they had slipped to 76 for six. Asif had smashed 27 in 12 balls to help Pakistan beat New Zealand last time out and having trumped India in their opener, they have now cemented their spot on top of Group 2 and put one foot in the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s World T20 2021. Nabi bucked the trend by choosing to bat in Dubai despite the dew and may have been regretting that call when Hazratullah Zazai was dismissed for a five-ball duck in the second over. The Afghanistan opener’s top edge off Imad Wasim was safely pouched by Haris Rauf to give Pakistan an early breakthrough. Mohammad Shazad struck the first boundary of the innings, but two balls later departed for eight after tamely chipping Shaheen Shah Afridi straight to mid-on to leave Afghanistan floundering at 13 for two. Rahmanullah Gurbaz got off the mark in some style, planting Wasim into the stands with an eye-catching slog-sweep but should have been easily run out soon after only for Mohammad Rizwan’s wayward throw to spare his blushes. Asghar Afghan also opened his account with a maximum in Wasim’s second over which went for 17, but the No.4 was soon walking back for 10 after Rauf took a sharp return catch, with his younger brother Karim Janat replacing him. In what was now typical fashion, Janat got going with a six off Haris but could only watch on as Rahmanullah holed out off Afridi for 10 as Afghanistan lost four wickets inside an action-packed powerplay, finishing on 49 for four. Pakistan got off to a slow start in reply when Rizwan, eight off 10, was well caught on the boundary by Naveen-ul-Haq off Mujeeb Ur Rahman in just the third over. Fakhar Zaman wasted no time in getting going as he and captain Babar guided Pakistan to 38 for one from the powerplay before Mujeeb returned to complete an excellent spell of one for 14 from his four overs. Fakhar and Babar’s partnership reached 50 from just 39 balls as Pakistan took control of the chase with wickets in hand. Babar’s class shone through as he made his way to 36 before danger man Rashid Khan, belatedly brought into the attack in the 11th over, thought he had him trapped LBW only for the decision to be overturned on review. But DRS could not save the skipper’s partner Fakhar as Nabi had him pinned in front for 30 from the very next ball at the other end, curtailing the third-wicket partnership of 63 and leaving Pakistan 75 for two. Rashid had his 100th T20 international wicket, the quickest to the milestone, for real when Mohammad Hafeez’s top-edge found Gulbadin to give Afghanistan a chance with the asking rate creeping over nine. Babar should have been caught by Naveen off Rashid but the spinner had his man with the final ball of his spell of two for 26, a googly castling the Pakistan skipper as he surprisingly aimed a huge swipe into the leg side with 12 already having come from the 17th over. Naveen bowled a sensational 18th over which cost just two runs during which he shelled an exceptionally tough reaction chance off Shoaib Malik but two balls later the veteran batter nicked one behind to depart for 19 with 24 still needed off 13. Just as Afghanistan clawed their way in front, Asif had other ideas, belting four huge sixes off Janat in the 19th over to seal an incredible victory with six balls to spare. Scores in Brief Pakistan beat Afghanistan at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai by five wickets Afghanistan 147/6 in 20 overs (Mohammad Nabi 35 not out, Gulbadin Naib 35 not out; Imad Wasim 2/25, Shaheen Shah Afridi 1/22, Shadab Khan 1/22) Pakistan 148/5 in 19 overs (Babar Azam 51, Fakhar Zaman 30, Asif Ali 25 not out; Rashid Khan 2/26, Mujeeb Ur Rahman 1/14) Player of the Match: Asif Ali (Pakistan)#fasialsatti FOLLOW ME 📸 ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/faisalsatti.official ... ► YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/faisalsatti ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/faisal.aptn ► Website: http://faisalsatti.blogspot.com ► Twitter: https://twitter.com/faisalsatti SUPPORT THIS CHANNEL ✅ ► Subscribe: https://youtu.be/WEwS3CbsF4g BUSINESS INQUIRIES 📧 ► For business inquiries, send email to: faisal.aptn@gmail.com WhatsApp : 03335334669 Thank You All!!! Karachi Kings knocked out as Peshawar Zalmi into Eliminator 2 | WAHAB RIAZ #PSL #BABARAZAM #CRICKET

#fasialsatti Karachi Kings batted first, setting Peshawar Zalmi a chase, a target that Hazratullah Zazai seemed to made a mockery of in the first ten overs. No, this isn't the match report from this game a week ago; it's just that Zazai doubled up, following that astonishing innings with an even more explosive one. He hit 77 off 37 balls and set Zalmi up comfortably for a chase of 176, and even though Zalmi made harder work of that than they needed to, the Afghan batter had set them enough of a buffer to get over the line in the end. Zalmi might not have expected to chase such a steep total after they kept a lid on the Kings for much of the first innings. Mohammad Irfan, the 39-year old, was sensationally disciplined with the ball during his quota of four, allowing just 21 runs, exactly as many as he did in that game against the Kings last week. This time, however, he was also more incisive, picking up the wickets of Sharjeel Khan and Danish Aziz as Zalmi chipped away at the power hitters around Babar Azam, who could do little more than anchor an innings that was going awry. When Wahab Riaz accounted for him, Azam had scored another half-century, but the rate of accumulation continues to be a concern, especially when the big hitters don't come off. Thisara Perera ameliorated that situation somewhat with an entertaining cameo, taking apart spinner Khalid Usman in an innings where he struck at over 200. But there was limited support; Riaz returned to clean up Chadwick Walton before he could get going, and even though the final five overs yielded 70, there was always the sense the Kings had left themselves too much to do in the second innings. Zazai was striking the balls with such devastating power that Kamran Akmal, and later Imam-ul-Haq, were simply content to turn the strike over to the Afghan and enjoy the fireworks from the best seat in the house. Kings looked especially out of ideas while Zazai was on strike, but Imam struggled to take any pressure off his partner, scoring just 11 off the 17 he faced. When Zazai holed out, there was still concern that the 73 they still needed would prove tricky. Which is exactly what it proved. Shoaib Malik steadied things through a mature 52-run stand with Khalid Usman, but they hadn't quite got on top of the asking rate, even if they were never behind in the game. In the final over, Sherfane Rutherford curiously decided to attack every delivery as if they needed to chase 27 instead of seven, but woeful fielding by Kings meant they shot themselves in the foot. The West Indian was dropped off the first and fifth ball of the 20th over, and as Imad Wasim's tears flowed, the team in yellow stayed alive in the tournament. Multan Sultans beat Lahore Qalandars by 80 runs Sohail Akhtar talk #lahoreqalandars #PSL

Lahore Qalandars captain SOHAIL AKHTAR talk after losings match Abu Dhabi, 18 June 2021:   Shahnawaz Dahani’s remarkable figures of four for five and a quick-fire half-century from Sohaib Maqsood helped Multan Sultans to an emphatic 80-run win over Lahore Qalandars in the 28th fixture of HBL PSL 6 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Friday.   Qalandars, in their chase of 170, were bundled out for 89 in the 16th over.   Shahnawaz, who recorded his career-best figures, accounted for Fakhar Zaman (13 off 15, one four), James Faulkner (22 off 11, one four and two sixes), Rashid Khan (two off five) and Shaheen Shah Afridi (two off three) in his 3.1 overs.   The right-arm pacer also became the leading wicket-taker in the HBL PSL 6 with 18 wickets at 14 runs per dismissal in eight matches.   Imran Khan snr picked three wickets for 24, while Blessing Muzarabani grabbed two for 26.   Earlier, after being put into bat by Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar, Sultans got off to a poor start as Shaheen dismissed in-form Shan Masood lbw on the first ball of the match. This was the third instance of the left-armer striking on the first ball of an HBL PSL match.   After Shan’s departure, Sohaib joined Mohammad Rizwan and the pair added 45 off 30 balls before Rizwan fell to Haris for 15 off 20 (three fours).   Johnson Charles (10 off nine, one four) was next to go with scorecard reading 60 for three in the eighth over.   The pair of Sohaib and Rilee Rossouw got together and helped Sultans stage a comeback. The pair added 63 runs for the fourth-wicket and at one stage 200 looked on the cards for Sultans but the departure of Rossouw (29 off 24, five fours) in the 15th over and Sohaib (60 off 40, three fours and four sixes) in the 17th over dried up the runs for Sultans.   That the Sultans were able to cross 150-mark and post 169 for eight was because of belligerent batting from Sohail Tanvir, who scored an unbeaten 26 off nine balls, smashing three fours and two sixes.   The left-handed batsman struck two towering sixes and three fours in the last over of the innings bowled by Haris which went for 24 runs.   For Qalandars, Shaheen picked three wickets, while Faulkner took two wickets.   The victory took Sultans to second spot on the points table with 10 points from nine games (five wins, four defeats).   Qalandars, who suffered their fourth loss in a row, are down to fourth spot of the six-team table with ten points from ten matches (five wins, five defeats).   Scores in brief:   Match 28 – Multan Sultans beat Lahore Qalandars by 80 runs   Multan Sultans 169-8, 20 overs (Sohaib Maqsood 60, Rilee Rossouw 29, Sohail Tanvir 26 not out; Shaheen Shah Afridi 3-23, James Faulkner 2-30)   Lahore Qalandars 89 all out, 15.1 overs (James Faulkner 22; Shahnawaz Dahani 4-5, Imran Khan Snr 3-24, Blessing Muzarabani 2-26)   Player of the match – Shahnawaz Dahani (Multan Sultans)   Upcoming matches:   Saturday, 19 June –Quetta Gladiators v Karachi Kings; Multan Sultans v Islamabad United

Babar Azam hope to win the test series vs Zimbabwe #PakvsZim #testcricket #babarazam

Babar Azam media conference HARARE: Pakistan skipper Babar Azam on Wednesday called on the pundits and analysts to stop claiming that “nothing” is in his control and assured everyone that he decides all matters related to the team management himself. “The impression that I have nothing in my hands should end now. Everyone can see on the field that I look after all the matters related to the team,” said Azam while speaking to the media ahead of Pakistan’s two-match test series against Zimbabwe that starts from tomorrow. He lamented that in every press conference, questions are raised over his role. The skipper said that even the final eleven is decided by him after taking input from the management. “I am the captain and I know my role. Everyone has their own way of thinking and opinion,” said the batsman. When asked about veteran batsman Shoaib Malik’s request for a white-ball coach, Babar said that it was the PCB’s job to look into the matter. He clarified that neither he nor any other player has any problems with the current coaches of the team, adding that they are “happy” with Misbah and co. In the virtual press conference, Azam said that the team will try to carry forward its winning momentum in the Test series. He added that Pakistan will come out with a winning combination on the field and suggested that changes will be made, if needed, in the playing eleven. The captain admitted that Pakistan will be playing Test cricket after a break in new conditions but added that he is “confident” that the team will perform well. “Pakistan’s test batting is strong, Fawad Alam and Azhar Ali are experienced batters,” said Babar. He also said that the two have suggested that openers Abid Ali and Imran Butt should be backed in their roles. Speaking about his position, Azam said that he has always played for the team and a combination is made as per the situation, adding that he even changed his position in the final T20I for the team. “I play according to the team’s situation and do not play selfishly. Everyone gives an opinion and I do not pay heed to that,” said Babar in response to a question. He admitted that he does get happy after breaking records but is always “focused” on the team.
