Steven Gerrard 'proud' of his Rangers after Europa League exit

Both managers Peter Bosz and Steven Gerrard reacted on Thursday after Bayer Leverkusen's win over Rangers sent them into the quarter-finals of the 2019-20 Europa League. The Bayer Leverkusen coach was obviously satisfied with the outcome (3-1 on aggregate) and denied the possibility that his players might have already been thinking at the next opponent before this second leg - Inter, 10th August. Steven Gerrard acknowledged the superiority of their opponent over the two legs (1-0, 2-1) and even earmarked the German side as 'one of the favourites' for the final win.
