Montreal EXPOS at New York METS 4/21/90 Original CBS Broadcast

Recorded and digitalized off a pre recorded VHS tape which was converted to a DVD and has been restored and making its debut on the phenia film youtube page. Original CBS Broadcast with Jack Buck and Tim McCarver from Shea Stadium. After the Expos take the first game of the series at Shea 2-1 Mets starter Frank Viola who is 2-0 for the 1990 season pretty much takes control of the Montreal line up and is apposed by Montreal starter oil Can Boyd. Viola allowing only 5 hits through the first eight innings. While Darryl Strawberry hits a two run HR in the fourth off Boyd a ball that makes its way to the subway platform in the parking lot. Another HR from Kevin Elster in the seventh made it smooth sailing for Viola until the ninth when the wheels came off, started by a home run by Andres Galarraga. John Franco comes in to try and stop the bleeding..a little shaky but gets the job done giving Frank Viola's third straight win for 1990 and John Franco picks up his 4th save and Oil can Boyd gets his first loss of the season.
