WHY the Boston Celtics Have Played ELITE BASKETBALL Lately!

Twitter: https://www.Twitter.com/SeanCostelloJr So last night the Boston Celtics got a very nice win on the road in Golden State against the Warriors and after this recent stretch of games their on, most people might look at the fact that Jayson Tatum has been playing out of his mind lately as the reasoning for this Celtics team’s recent recent run, but if you’re a diehard NBA fan i’m sure you know their defense is to thank and today i’m going to breakdown why that is. So last night the Boston Celtics beat the Warriors by a big margin as they won by a score of 110-88 and following that win the team has now won 6 of last 7 games. Like mentioned before Tatum has played out of his mind lately, averaging 35.1 points in the month of March alone, but like mentioned in the intro, if you’re not just an average or normal NBA fan and you’re more of a diehard basketball fan like myself, you’re probably aware of the true reason for this recent surge has been their defense. One guy who has been elite and many fans might happen to know should be in the Defensive Player of the year convo is Time Lord Robert Williams. Robert Williams has looked phenomenal for the Celtics and his ability to switch, rotate and block shots is a key part of the Celtics Defense. Another thing the Celtics do elite is spotting where the ball is going in passing lanes and jumping on the ball for the steal. The Celtics also seem to have a connectedness on defense. The Celtics ability to switch and rotate is absolutely phenomenal and it makes the Celtics look like the best defensive team in the NBA. Going back to Robert Williams tho, It’s not just how great Williams is on defense for the Celtics but his ability to throw it down and clean up missed shots is also super huge for the Celtics. Also it’s important to mention Marcus Smart has looked elite since taking over Point Guard or Ball Handling duties for Boston. Beyond his ball handling and phenomal defense tho, Smart can hit big shots as well. So this Celtics team truly is playing special basketball right now and they’re getting hot around the right time.
